The gong is an ancient instrument and its healing vibrations have been
used around the world. Listeners can benefit
in numerous ways, including stilling the mind and
strengthening the nervous system to effectively deal with daily,
stressful challenges.
All listeners need to do is relax comfortably and breath deeply to
experience sound healing. Yoga is part of the full moon gong workshops
(Kay Lani plays the gong live), which help prepare you for deep
relaxation
and meditation. Kay started the Full Moon workshops at Your Community
Yoga Center and The Yoga Loft in 2009, and looks forward to offering
workshops at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT.

Student comments about the Healing Gong Workshops:
Student:
I have arthritis in my
hands and I could feel a warm stimulation in my hands, during the gong
healing session.
Kay's comment:
Sound therapy has
profound healing abilities. Immediate effects are common, since blood
circulation is increased to bring in fresh nutrients, and will continue healing for days after the
class. Students participating in multiple gong classes accumulate the
most healing benefits.

Student:
I hold a lot of tension
in my shoulders and back and I felt a zapping stimulation in these
areas, which helped release my tension.
Kay's comment:
Increasing
circulation and rebalancing the body's natural rhythms supports
healing on multiple levels. Each full moon gong
experience will be different, so it is suggested that the student
participate in multiple classes to accumulate the greatest healing
benefits.
Student:
I would have too say that
Kay is now my favorite yoga teacher, since she interacts with the
class and creates a fun atmosphere.
Kay's comment:
It makes me very
happy to help my students heal and gain happiness. I frequently follow
up after class with students by e-mail.
Student: I could not relax during
the gong session. My mind was racing.
Kay's comment:
This is a normal
occurrence for new students. This process allows students to de-clutter
their mind to eventually gain a quiet, peaceful mind. Since each full
moon gong experience will be different for the student, it is
suggested that the student participate in multiple classes to gain
full benefits.
